ICFC Returns... For The Offline Grassroots FGC!

ICFC returns! Spooky, MajinObama, FunkyP, & others are launching a program to support in-person grassroots FGC events like never before, and we're thrilled to provide logistical backend support. Check out Spooky's announcement video here:
We first started ICFC during the early COVID era to help support the FGC when offline events had stopped. This time, we're helping with the return of ICFC to make sure offline events never have to stop again.
Maintaining in-person tournaments has become harder than ever, with higher costs, rarer sponsorships, weaker awareness via unreliable social media algorithms, and so on. Online events are doing great, which is awesome, but offlines still deserve our attention too. It's time to work together to provide better opportunities for locals, regionals, and majors in ways that continue to foster TO independence, grassroots ownership, and strong community values.
So what will this new era of ICFC do? Here's the breakdown:
  1. Offline events will get to stream to the TeamSp00ky, MajinObama, or FunkyP Twitch channels for stronger viewership & metrics, which they can use to pursue their own individual event sponsors
  2. Spooky will create replay VODs and follow-up content using this footage to once again improve awareness of events, create new opportunities for players and commentators, and more
  3. Participating events will get tons of marketing & co-marketing opportunities via ads run on other events' streams, a permanent web pages with schedules of events and event info, and posts on our partners' big social media accounts
  4. Banding together like this will let us pursue larger sponsors than any of us can get individually, so we'll look for sponsors who can support all of us in ethical ways
  5. FGC members can buy merchandise to support events, including options that give 100% of the profits to TOs
  6. We'll marshal more crowdfunding support for offline events, both in player prize pools and in donating to TOs to help them cover event costs
  7. All this will start officially in April 2026
As an example of follow-up content, Spooky is planning to do streams to re-commentate completed events with him or one of our pro commentator friends plus a commentator from the offline event itself. This'll create awareness of the event, provide more opportunities to co-market for other events, and allow local commentators more experience working with top level talent to help grow their skills too.
We're really thankful for the leadership and work from Spooky, Obama, FunkyP, and the rest of the team involved in this program. We started noodling on it together way back in 2024. In 2025, we ran a pilot program for it by sharing our channels with tournaments around the world, which went great, and discussed it in meetings with lots of TOs to make sure we could offer something that would fit their needs. And now in 2026 we're thrilled to finally launch, with a bunch of events already on board and others that we'll reach out to shortly.
We hope to have even more to announce in the near future, like more partnered channels and content creators, a full list of participating events, and so on. We also expect this program to evolve over time, but the goal will always stay the same.
For any interested TOs of in-person locals, regionals, or majors, please hit us up at icfc@ten-o.gg.
If we're gonna keep our community both viable and grassroots, our best shot to do it is as a community. We hope you'll be there for the launch of this new ICFC starting in April 2026.
